Inyokern Chamber of Commerce President Bob Mize presents Skip Gorman with the Neighbor of the Month Award.
This award is given in recognition of contributions to groups and causes in the Indian Wells Valley including the Maturango Museum and the Inyokern Chamber of Commerce with special thanks for our Centennial Monument at Inyokern Town Hall.  Skip is the owner of JP Gorman Welding in Ridgecrest.

Local artist and all-around excellent human being Skip Gorman shares his talents with the community and is a dedicated supporter of the Maturango museum.  He enjoys jobs  that are interesting and fun.  Skip is creator of the glyph goat sculpture that was auctioned to raise funds for the Maturango museum and he is responsible for many of the pieces of metal art that can be found there.

When Chamber Vice-President Bobby Daniels approached Skip for help with our monument, Skip was glad to help.  Skip also enjoys a good joke and if you are one of the fortunate ones who meets him he will brighten your day.

Skip expressed his thanks to all of the people who were responsible for this award.  Inyokern is very appreciative of what Skip has done for our Town Hall.
