Ewings offers breathtaking vistas up and the down river from both dining rooms and the outdoor patio.
Inside, the open timber framed ceilings and walls convey a warmth that compliments the friendly demeanor of the professional staff.
Mrs Webmaster enjoyed the broiled halibut with salad and baked potato. I had the trout almandine and sampled Ewings chili. The meal included soup or salad and rolls with sweet butter.
Ewings offers a variety of steak, chicken and seafood dishes and live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. They also have a children's menu.
Owner Leon Falk was on hand with a warm welcome for his guests.
Mike Fleming and Dave Johnston of the Left Coast Groovies provided the musical entertainment for the evening. Consummate professionals who sound great at any volume, Mike and Dave delivered the goods with clean vocals, amplified acoustic guitar and bongos.
With a focus on blues and southern rock, Left Coast Groovies played songs from the Marshall Tucker Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Eagles, Dylan and the Grateful Dead. Visit their website for show times and booking information. Live music at Ewings features a country artist every other weekend.
Our compliments to Ewings chefs Chris and Troy for attentive preparation and excellent presentation.
Cheerful and pleasant Rebecca and Lea aimed to please and did very well. Great job!
Kernville ladies Sherry and Ellen lit up the room with their smiles.
This photo of Restaurant founder Jack Ewing is one of many that feature Kernville history and bygone days.
The Webmaster would like to thank everyone at Ewings for tolerating the shutter and flash while these photos were being taken. See you soon!
