Inyokern business of the month Jan 2009

Firequick products manufactures wildfire fighting products in Inyokern, CA. Firequick owners Bill and Beth Sumners are moving their facilities from Inyokern airport to just south of Inyokern Boulevard. One of the improvements will be paving the corner of Redrock-Inyokern Road at Inyokern Boulevard, which should make the intersection much safer and easier to traverse in inclement weather. The Sumners are active community supporters of both Inyokern and Ridgecrest. They are also one of Inyokern's first Town Hall Superstar supporters.

Firequick has 13 full time employees and up to 70 employees during their seasonal peak. Firequick is one of the largest employers in Inyokern. Firequick products are a favorite among many wildfire fighting professionals, and are a big help in stopping the advance of wildfires in our forests and preserves.
