The Wild Horse and Burro Facility in Ridgecrest was represent by the affectionate fellow  between Katie and Allison Maddox.

Wild horses and Burros are available for adoption from the BLM for just $60.00 and adoptive families are wanted.
Moose Anderson Days is a family event and this year's activities included more fun for kids.

For the first time bounce houses were furnished and a dunking booth was set up for the entertainment of everyone.
Kiewit Pacific employees worked on the invasive tamarisk removal team and returned with truckloads of  tamarisk branches and seedlings.  Kiewit Pacific is currently working on the Pine Tree Wind Project in Little Jawbone Canyon.

Follow this link to see an article about a different approach to tamarisk control.

Crystal Geyser donated 72 cases of their natural alpine spring water to the event.

The Kern County Sheriff 's department was on hand and helped with the clean-up detail
Moose Anderson Days is a two day event- all of this happened by 1 pm the first day!  Due to prior commitments the webmaster had to leave before the raffle and door prizes were awarded and before the afternoon activities and concert began.  Sunday morning there was another breakfast, a 4X4 tour and poker run.  The 2009 Moose Anderson Days are already scheduled for April 25 and 26, 2009.
