Inyokern neighbor of the month

The Neighbor of the Month can be anyone you know. This could be that special person who always has a smile or kind word or is willing to help when you need a hand. This honor will include a photo posted on this page and a caption or short biography.

Helle and Michael met in Michael's home state of Alaska where Helle was an exchange student. After they were married they went to Japan where Helle learned Japanese.

Throughout their travels Helle has learned to prepare many international dishes and loves to cook. As neighbor of the month Helle will receive a gift certificate from Torres Steakhouse and an invitation to dine with the Inyokern Rotary club. Thank you Helle for being a great friend and neighbor, and Velbekomme!

The neighbor of the month was nominated by two different people this month- not only the Inyokern Chamber of Commerce VP but also the normally reticent Mrs. Webmaster herself! Helle was elected treasurer of the Inyokern Elementary PTO last year and just this month was nominated as treasurer for the Inyokern Chamber of Commerce.

Helle is the proud parent of two Inyokern Elementary students, Aidan and Andrea Murphree, and is one of the dedicated volunteers in the Inyokern PTO. Helle and her husband Michael moved here with the Navy and decided to make Inyokern their permanent home. As a native of Denmark, Helle speaks fluent Danish. Taler du dansk? When she is not consumed with parenting and volunteering she stays busy as a Danish translator and as a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant.

The Murphrees participated in the Inyokern Kid's Art Day at the Inyokern Town Hall. Helle helped Andrea with her pot painting and Aidan is pictured with items from the bead art table.

Helle's husband Michael spent his time keeping time with fellow percussionists in the band of drummers concert.
