Inyokern neighbor of the month

The Neighbor of the Month can be anyone you know. This could be that special person who always has a smile or kind word or is willing to help when you need a hand. This honor will include a photo posted on this page and a caption or short biography.

Russ and Adrienne are residents of Ridgecrest and are building a home in Inyokern. They are both very community minded and volunteer in both Inyokern and Ridgecrest. Adrienne volunteered her services as secretary for the Inyokern Chamber of Commerce. The Mathewsons are regular volunteers with Inyokern roadside clean-up and were co-sponsors of the Inyokern Kid's Art Day. They also enjoy dining with the International Dinner Group.

Russ and Adrienne have also been very helpful to the Webmaster, even going so far as to pick up a used pellet stove for him while they were in Nipomo, saving him hours on the road and about a million dollars worth of gas.

Russ and Adrienne support the Ridgecrest Arts council and various art projects in the Indian Wells Valley, and they will be very busy with the children's art fair and street chalk drawings at this year's Maturango Junction.

Russ and Adrienne enjoy dining at Torres Steakhouse in Inyokern so it is fitting that as neighbors of the month they will receive a gift certificate to- you guessed it, Torres Steakhouse. The Inyokern Rotary club also provided two tickets to their Fall Feast to be held Sunday November 2nd, 12:00 noon at Bernardino's in Inyokern.
