The neighbor of the month for September was suggested by members of the Inyokern Elementary PTO.
April was chosen neighbor of the month for her cheerful demeanor and the positive influence she has on our children. She works at Gateway Ace Hardware for four hours in the morning and at Inyokern Elementary School in the afternoon. Her duties at school include noon hour and custodial duties and crossing guard.
April has been a resident of Inyokern for the last 26 years and is the single mother of four children. On her off time she enjoys horseback riding and motorcycle riding.
April's three daughters- Cody, Amy and Riley are attending college and her son Dalton attends Burroughs High School. Dalton won the bull riding event in the California high school rodeo finals in June and went on to place 21st of 176 riders in the Nationals.
Just like their mom, Cody, Amy, Riley and Dalton grew up riding horses, and they all rode in rodeo events in the state finals.
